Trying to 'listen again' on ipad

Does anyone else find problems trying to 'listen again' (using wifi on Virgin) to a programme previously played on local BBC radio (BBC Three Counties)? I can't see it displayed as a choice on the BBC beta site when using my app for iplayer downloaded from the Apple app store. Is it the case that it simply is not made available or am I missing something here? What I'm looking for is freely available on my PC (Rock and Roll Heaven -the dj is Bernie Keith) so it can't be a rights issue.
