Can't download iplayer desktop in Windows 8

I have the Windows 8 consumer preview and under Desktop mode I'm trying to download Iplayer desktop. I can't do it as under IE the download doesn't even start after I click Install and under Chrome it does start but flash produces an error message saying there was a problem download Air. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Can you install AIR from Adobe's site? http://get.adobe.com/air/
