Loss of sound on BBC iPlayer

I have just set up a new youview box from Talktalk and was watching BBC iPlayer for 1st time. I paused the programme I was watching when I left the room and when I resumed watching again there was no sound. It seems this happens whenever I pause, rewind or FFwd and all programmes on all BBC channels are affected. If I start the programme again the sound returns. All the other channels catch up players work OK. Is this a problem with BBC iPlayer or talktalk? Anyone out there got any ideas?
