v1.8.0 - 3rd July 2014
----------------------

* Fixes an issue on Windows 8 which prevented the application from opening when using Google Chrome.
* Fixes an issue whereby the Windows Installer would fail to correctly upgrade a previous install.
* Fixes incorrectly displayed programme titles.
* Improvements to error messages when something goes wrong.

Has anybody tried this yet?

I have recently started using a laptop with Windows 8. I cannot get BBC iPlayer Downloads to download a programme and I have tried the new version 1.8.0 and the previous version. I never have any problems with Windows 7 but Windows 8 just doesn't start the download, even after several attempts. No warning message is displayed, so I don't know what is stopping it. BBC iPlayer works well in all other respects. I have experimented with Google Chrome and Firefox but to no avail. The BBC website is no help at all. Any ideas?
